Global Pharmacovigilance



Schering-Plough’s Global Pharmacovigilance (GPV) focuses on safety surveillance of marketed and investigational drugs, biologics and medical devices. The GPV network is made up of physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and other medical professionals and administrative personnel worldwide, protecting consumer safety on the use of Schering-Plough products. GPV uses a rigorous computerized approach to collect and track drug safety information, enabling the reporting of adverse events and other data in a timely and efficient manner. Wherever we operate, the GPV management system ensures that Schering-Plough remains compliant with health authority requirements for timely and complete reporting of all product-related safety. Additionally, GPV has a lead role in developing risk management plans to continuously monitor safety issues that may arise and to take steps to minimize any risks found to be associated with our products.
