Customer-Centered Product Flow (CCPF)

Customer-Centered Product Flow (CCPF) is a key process applied from early discovery through clinical development, regulatory approval and market launch. It also continues through life-cycle management, including when seeking label changes for existing products.

From the laboratory to the marketplace, CCPF puts the needs of our customers – patients and families, physicians and other health professionals, reimbursers and health authorities around the world – at the center of its work. CCPF does this by incorporating the expertise of cross-functional teams, including colleagues from different areas of R&D as well as from the commercial side of the business. The viability of projects is carefully considered at different “decision points” by several governance committees. Pipeline projects must pass the “proof of concept” (PoC) stage, at the end of Phase I or Phase II trials, in order to continue to the next level of development. Rigorous criteria must also be met post-PoC, with “go” or “no go” decisions made at each phase of the development process. The goal is to ensure that the therapies the company develops will fulfill the pre-defined development objectives and will make an important difference in the lives of patients.
